[YouTube] Day 2: Quick Morning GRWM

Day two on my little filming mission. Today I decided to do a very quick and short Get Ready With Me/Morning Makeup Routine. I am in no way, shape or form, any sort of makeup artist. I just wanted to do something that I do every single day, something that I enjoy. It's not meant to be serious, in fact it's very, very silly. Mostly because I spend most of it dancing along to Iggy Azalea.

I'm starting to feel more confident in myself, not just in filming but in being in front of a camera. So this was actually super enjoyable to make. It'd be super cool if you could give me some ideas for videos as well, tell me what you'd like to see - or if you want me to stop clogging up your feed with videos then also please tell me! I can take the rejection, I promise.

Watch in HD :)

My First Youtube Video [sort of]

[I'm still waiting for the thumb-nail to upload properly - grumble grumble]

In an effort to "better" myself and keep myself busy during this slump that I have currently found myself in, I have decided to film pretty much every day and make short, little videos about my life. Whilst this may seem extremely self-indulgent, I think that documenting my last Summer before I go off and become a proper adult will be good for me, and I'll probably learn more doing and experimenting than I ever did at University.

I am going to use these videos as a learning experience and I hope you'll stick around for the journey!

This is day one. Footage taken in Leyland. This video focuses on the use of light break overlays and using the speed/reverse feature. I sort of love how it came out, it's very cute and kind of music videoy. I'm only hoping that as time goes on my videos will be even better.

Make sure you watch it in HD! It'd be fantastic if you could follow me on Youtube (and I'll follow back, just leave a comment on here or...well wherever!). Let me know what you think!

SISTERHOOD OF THE WORLD BLOGGERS' AWARD

*Real talk* I don't usually do tags on my blog, it's more of a preference thing rather than anything else. But since my lovely friend Stephanie tagged me in it, and well...let's be honest, I'm out of blog post ideas at the moment, I thought I'd give it a go.

Here are the rules:
1) Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you and link them in your post.
2) Answer the ten questions you have been sent.
3) Come up with 10 questions of your own.
4) Spread the love and nominate up to 10 bloggers!

Questions:

1. What was the last movie you watched? How was it?
The last movie I watched was The Fugitive, which Kieron made me watch last night. I didn't think that I was going to enjoy it to be honest, if it's not a comedy or a cartoon then I don't tend to want to watch films. It was actually really good, a bit of a classic to be honest. So yeah, I enjoyed it.

2. What's your favourite pizza topping?
So I really like margherita pizza with sweetcorn on it. That's my favourite. But I also love vegetarian pizza as well. Nothing with meat on or ewt though - ick.

3. How do you take your eggs?
All ways! My favourite has to be boiled egg/"dippy egg" with loads of bread for dipping. Delicious.

4. What's your favourite drink?
Alcoholic - definitely Pimms. Hands down, without a doubt. Pass me one right now! Non-alcoholic - Vimto. I drink Vimto like it's going out of fashion, we literally go through like 5 bottles in a week in my house.

5. Here's a free plane ticket. Where's it going to?
FLORIDA. Obviously. Get me on that plane, get me to Disney World and let me live my life happily.

6. Everyone likes cheesy boybands, which one is/was your favourite?
Firstly, not true. I don't think I've ever listened to a cheesy boyfriend in my whole entire life. So I guess I'd have to say something like Busted, although I was never that big of a fan. I'm not about the cheesy boyband life.

7. Have you ever been to a music festival? If yes: which one, and how was it? If no: would you like to go to one, and why/why not?
I've been to Leeds festival before, which was amazing and fantastic and everything I ever thought it would be. I'd definitely go back, it was such an amazing weekend full of booze, music and mischief.

8. What was the last sweet treat you ate?
I literally just finished eating a cheesecake. Which was delicious, thank you very much.

9. What are your plans for tomorrow?
Due to my lack of job and money and...life. I have no plans for tomorrow. Probably just gunna eat some food, watch some Jeremey Kyle and shoot some zombies on xbox.

10. Pull one random fact out of the air about yourself.
Ahh, argh, ahhhhh so much pressure!! Okay...random fact...erm...I currently have a stye in my left eye and it hurts like hell. I feel like I've been punched in the face, multiple times.

I'm going to be honest and tell you that I'm probably not going to tag anyone in this. Feel free to tag yourself - and sorry if I'm ruining this tag for anyone! I will actually leave some questions for you to do, should you feel the need to...

1. What's your first memory of?
2. What is your favourite song?
3. Who is your favourite Disney character?
4. What kind of movies do you enjoy watching?
5. If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
6. What is your favourite colour?
7. What is your pet peeve?
8. What sort of books do you like to read?
9. Why do you wear makeup?
10. Do you have a favourite quote/song lyric? What is it?

Wheyhey Sugar-Free, Protein Ice Cream*

Something a little bit different, but super delicious on Poptarts Beauty today. On Friday I received four tubs of ice cream from Wheyhey to test out, and it is without a doubt one of my favourite blogger mails of all time. Who doesn't love ice cream? Especially when it's good for you!

Wheyhey is the world's first and best selling protein ice cream. The company was founded by best friends Damien Kennedy and Greg Duggan back in 2012. Having met at  University they quickly discovered a common interest in good nutrition, great food and even better bench pressing techniques. After respective stins as a GB basketball coach and fitness model, the duo dreamt up the idea of a great tasting ice cream that does you good.

Wheyhey ice cream has 20g of protein per pot. Protein is super important for your body, Wheyhey state that it is the building block for all human cells, the second most abundant component of the human body after water, and can help with everything from losing weight to muscle repair and skin anti aging! It also contains absolutely no sugar, whatsoever. All of their products are completely suitable for diabetics because they use a natural sweetener called Xylitol.

At first, I must admit I was a little sceptical. I am a massive, massive sugar fan so the idea of eating something that is meant to be sugary but isn't was a little scary. To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised after the first taste. Wheyhey ice cream tastes just like ice cream should, if not better. It was so creamy and yummy, that I found myself trying to share the ice cream with everyone in my family just to see what their thoughts were. The four tubs of ice cream where devoured within 24 hours of arriving at my front door and everybody commented on how tasty and creamy it was. My favourite flavour was definitely chocolate, it had such a rich taste that literally melted in my mouth.

Aside from being delicious, Wheyhey ice cream comes with loads of benefits. We all know that protein is good for our bodies and general health, and winding down from a work out could be so much more fun and beneficial to your health with tasty protein ice cream - not getting enough protein into your diet can lengthen recovery time after a work out, can cause muscle weakness and suppress your immune system. Not only this, but Wheyhey ice cream can be used to help you lose weight. Upping your protein intake can make you feel fuller for longer and help you cut snack cravings. The protein consumed in Wheyhey's ice cream will slow the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream, which helps with maintaining a stable blood sugar level, essential to weight management. Being healthy definitely does not need to be boring.

I'm really impressed with this ice cream, and would definitely have this over my usual sugary ice cream any day. It makes a fantastic snack, especially on these warm summer days that we've been having recently.

You can get Wheyhey's products at most health stores, including Holland & Barrett, you can also purchase their ice cream at Odeon cinemas! Be sure to check out their website as well.

Johnny Depp Lands First Ever Fragrance Campaign

Depp 4 Dior. Jane 4 Depp.

Today I'm going to ramble on about something - or should I say someone? - close to my heart. News has just been announced that my all time favourite human being, Johnny Depp, has been chosen to become the new face of Christian Dior's fragrance for men. Yes that's right ladies, you can now force your boyfriends to smell like a bonafide pirate superstar.

For as long as I can remember, Johnny Depp has been my ultimate crush. As a teenager, my tiny gothic heart longed for an outsider like Mr Depp. He was my first love, before I really fell in love and I was absolutely obsessed with everything he did. I still am to some extent, although nothing like I was when I was fourteen. This is probably the reason I freaked when I read the headline "You Can Now Smell Like Johnny Depp" and instantly clicked on it.

The fragrance name is not yet known, although I am on the edge of my seat with anticipation. Though it has been stated that the campaign will be released on the 1st September. Whilst all other details are yet to be announced, I'm hoping for advertisement after advertisement of Johnny Depp swaying about drinking rum and starring into the camera *swoon*. I will most definitely be purchasing the fragrance for myself. Yeah, I'm not a man, but it's JOHNNY DEPP SMELLING. I'll leave that with you.

Life Update - Madeira Holiday, Finishing Uni, Bigger & Brighter Things

You took a ten-minute dream in the passengers seat while the world it was flying by. I haven't been gone very long but it feels like a lifetime.

Ola blogging babies! I know it's been a while, and I hope you're all alright and well within yourselves. I thought I'd just write a little post to explain my absence and lack of enthusiasm with the blogging scene recently, and also explaining where I'm at with my life right now.

If you follow me on social media (twitter and instagram) you will know that I finished University last week. It's been a tough old run, I never really expected to ever finish. I sort of thought that I'd of given up half way through - and trust me, I almost did. But amazingly I made it through the storm. University has pretty much been a shambles from the start for me, it's not something that I would ever recommend to anyone. If you know it isn't for you, don't go ahead and do it. You will be miserable, much like I have been for the last few years. Now that it's over I feel like the weight of the world has been taken off my shoulders. Now it's over I cannot wait to begin my life properly - with my fingers crossed that an amazing job is just around the corner.

With Uni ending, that obviously leaves me more time for the things that I've been neglecting lately. Mostly PoptartsBeauty. It's been sad for me, because my blog has lost momentum in the past few months. I've been so busy with everything else, work, filming, internship, that I've had absolutely no time for the things that I truly love. And I do truly love this blog, with all my heart. It's my little baby. But I know that my little baby has been...well...disappointing recently. I feel like I've lost touch with what originally inspired me to blog, posts have been lacking and when I have posted my content has sucked. I'm making a promise to myself (and to whoever may be reading this) that I will sort it out over the next few weeks. Get ready for quality content and *hopefully* giveaways and competitions. Stayed tuned because PoptartsBeauty is going to rock it.

I've spent the last week in Madeira with my wonderful boyfriend Kieron. We had such a fantastic time and it's been hard to come back home to normality. I promise to bore you with photographs and tales of glorious Madeira sometime later in the week, but I thought I should at least mention it in this post as it's a life update and .... well this is what I've been doing!

Peace out x
