Illamasqua Lipstick In Magnetism

Like many others, when Illamasqua told the world that they were having an online sale, I decided to buy everything that I could possibly afford! And after trying one of their Glamoure lippies I really wanted another lipstick to add to my ever expanding collection (shock horror Jane, you always want a new lipstick).

Magnetism is a cool toned deep berry shade that has amazing pigmentation. It's literally the most perfect shade for Autumn/Winter time and I know that I'll be popping this on my lips a lot in the upcoming colder months. Its texture is extremely creamy with a glossy sheen finish which means it isn't drying and doesn't get flakey when it's been on the lips for a few hours. In fact it's so glossy that it sort of looks like you're wearing clear lip-gloss over the top of it. I absolutely love the scent of this lipstick, is that weird to say? It sort of has an artificial vanilla smell, a lot like MAC lip product.

My only complaint is that this lipstick does feather a bit. Not ridiculously but it is noticeable. It's not a massive problem and can easily be fixed by applying a lip primer or using a lip-liner to outline your lips beforehand, but if you forget to do that well...let's just say you'll have to keep reapplying and sorting your lipstick out during the day.

Overall I am really impressed with this shade! It is a permanent shade in Illamasqua's lipstick collection and if you like it as much as I do then you can pick it up online or in store for around £16.50.

Anjolee.com - Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend Wishlist*

One thing I think about (probably more than I should) is what sort of Engagement Ring I'd like to receive when I eventually get married - sorry Kieron if you're reading this, don't panic just yet...yet! With my sister getting married in March next year I have probably seen thousands upon thousands of ring styles in the last few months, all of which were gorgeous but none of them have made me think "that's the one, that's the ring I need to have in my life". I'm not a massive ring wearer, in fact, I'm not a massive jewellery wearer at all. I only ever wear pieces of jewellery that mean something to me, or the odd pair of hoop earrings when I'm out on the town, so finding an engagement ring that I'd actually be able to fall in love with is going to be tricky (once again, sorry Kie).

That was until I was alerted to the wonderful website of Anjolee. Anjolee are a custom jewellery company based in San Diego, California. Founded in 1977, they have been manufacturing high-end diamond jewellery for retail sale for almost four decades. Recently they moved to an online store with an amazing shop that allows you fully customise your own diamond jewellery pieces from start to finish. Yes, you read correctly, you can customise your own diamond ring! Or you know, something a little cheaper, like a necklace!

Baring this in mind, and baring in mind just how picky I am about the jewellery that I would one day LOVE to own, here is a lovely little wishlist for you all to oogle at.

Style No.: MS118A-4
Starting From: $1,428.44

Style No.: MS130A-4
Starting From: $1,616.43

Style No.: SE65-B
Starting From: $927.74

Style No.: SP8-Gem
Starting From: $217.51

Style No.: SB851
Starting From: $1,223.39

As you can see everything from their website is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and I would love to get my hands on one of their pieces. Imagine having a pair of diamond earrings and being able to wear them every day! Or a gorgeous ring that is completely your own and customised to your perfection! The whole idea of it really excites me. Plus their website is extremely easy to use and it's such a simple process to design your own piece of jewellery. I genuinely think Anjolee offer such a great service for their customers, there aren't many companies in the world that will let you customise their products and I know that here in the UK it's almost impossible (or extremely costly) to have jewellery customised.

If you want to know more about the Anjolee brand then you should definitely check out their website www.anjolee.com, their "about us" information page is extremely interesting and you will be able to read their promises and customer guarantee on there as well.

Never forget that diamonds really are a girls best friend!

Heart Helix Piercing

Soooo, if you are one of my followers on Instagram (and if you're not, shame on you, follow me now...please pretty please with a cherry on top, I'll be your best friend forever) you will know that yesterday I did a spur of the moment thing and got my helix pierced. Not once, but twice.

I decided on a heart helix piercing, which requires two holes, urgh needles. I managed to pump myself up so much, to the point where I was bursting with excitement by the time I'd got into the piercing chair. I was terrified because I am a complete and utter wuss but at the same time I just really wanted it done.

The pain was minimal, I went to Hex in Blackburn and they are known far and wide for how amazing their piercing team is and I was extremely happy to know that I was being pierced by the big boss lady. The first needle didn't hurt too much but the second one did a little, this was probably because...well because there were two holes in my poor ear. It sort of stung a bit when the heart was put into the holes because it had to be wiggled around a bit to get in but the whole process was over in literally a few seconds.

This piercing is not for the faint hearted. It bled and it bled like crazy. For hours. And then it stopped bleeding and I knocked it slightly and then it bled for a few more hours. It took ages to clean up but once it had stopped bleeding I was so incredibly happy. It's such a gorgeous piercing! What do you think?

Life Through My Phone - Hungover & Brain Dead

A couple of photos that I've taken on Instagram over the last few weeks. It's been a strange 2/3 weeks to be honest, one week I was completely bored, didn't want to get out of bed, had nothing to do at all, the next I was drunk all the time and then I worked 10 days straight without a break. Go figure.

I've been completely loving the beautiful Summer weather we have been having and am so sad that now it's started to rain and Blackburn has been looking more and more depressing and grey over the last few days. Has anyone else had any extreme weather changes?

I've seen my friends so much too, probably more so than my own boyfriend which has been a bit strange. Sometimes it is hard having different friends as it means we don't get to see each other as much as we'd like to. I wish I had some more exciting things to share with you all but unfortunately I don't!

If you fancy checking out my Instagram that would be amazing. I'm a few followers off 900 on there and wow it would mean a lot if you wanted to follow me!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick - 380 Dark Night Water Oops

My lipstick collection is getting ridiculous and as I have said multiple times before, I think I have an actual addiction. I need to go to Lipstick Hoarders Anonymous. Is that a thing? It should probably be a thing.

Today's lipstick is Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in shade 380 Dark Night Water Oops. A strange name I know, I don't really understand the name at all and it's such a mouthful but whatever floats your boat Rimmel! This is a gorgeous deep purple-red shade that can be used to create a striking dark vamp look.

Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipsticks are as close as you're going to get to a lip-balm formula, they are extremely nourishing and hydrating, great for those dry days during the Summer or those windy, cold days during the Autumn/Winter. They're extremely soft lipsticks which is great but on the other hand you may find you need to wear a lip-liner because the softness does also mean feathering. The staying power isn't that great but it's something that I have found lacks in darker lipsticks, they just seem to get everywhere - I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this!

One fantastic thing about the shade 380 is that it's an almost identical Mac Rebel dupe. When I was doing my research for this lipstick I found so many comparison photos which prompted me to get out my own Mac Rebel and swatch it on my arm, sure enough the colours are ridiculously similar!

So if you're looking for a lipstick like Mac Rebel but for half the price tag this is definitely the lipstick for you. It's gorgeous, hydrating and extremely cheap at only £6.49. What do you think? Would you consider buying this lipstick?

My Little Swimming Babies - Luna & Leroy

Just a quick post to show you my new little fishies! I recently decided to make my scale family bigger (I already own two tortoises) and buy some cute little goldfish. At the moment I have them in a basic round tank, which I know isn't ideal but it will hold until payday when I can get them a proper, bigger tank! I'm absolutely loving having these two in my room, they are so soothing to watch and I find myself sat in bed starring at them swimming around. Oh how I wish I could be as carefree as a fish!

For more photos of Luna & Leroy and the rest of my scaley family (Sid & Domino the tortoises) please follow my Instagram! I almost always follow back!

Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick - Naked

Oh lord, it's so beautiful. This is my first ever Illamasqua lipstick and let me tell you now, it definitely will not be my last. I received Illamasqua's Glamore Lipstick in the shade Naked a few weeks back in my Glamour Beauty Box, basically this lipstick was the sole reason I ordered the box. As soon as I heard about the Glamore range I just needed one, two, three...I needed them all.

In total there are fourteen shades of Glamore lipstick, seven nudes and seven coloured. They all use the same fantastic Glamore formula which I believe is slightly different to their normal formula. Illamasqua boast that they are all colour intensive and have a long lasting satin finish.

Naked is a slightly orangey, light brown nude shade which I personally think would look amazing on those with a tan. I do like the colour on my pale skin although I have had comments about it making me look like a zombie. Whatever. I like being a zombie girl. As promised the formula is amazing and it really feels like it's hydrating your lips whilst wearing it. The staying power is great and I've managed to wear this for a 6-7 hour day and it not budge at all! I'm insanely impressed with this lipstick and am in the process of drooling over all of the Glamore lippies whilst impatiently waiting for payday.
