When I went to visit my lovely bestest blogger friend Laura (lisforladybird) she introduced me to Chill*ed hair stains and I instantly wanted my hair doing. Being the super cool beauty bloggers we are, we set out to change our styles with these fantastic hair dyes. I remember seeing them on her bed and just being like "Laura....please", I have no shame.
I decided that I just wanted purple ends - something I've always wanted - whilst Laura chose to be a little more adventurous with purple and turquoise ends (super mermaid hair!) I used the purple dye which is an extremely dark purple and lightened it up with Chill*ed's amazing lightening mixer and toner. We started by plaiting our hair to the point where we wanted to apply the dye and then (with bare hands - whoops) extremely messily slapped the hair dye on. I'd just like to say at this point that you 100% need to wear gloves when applying hair dyes. I learnt my lesson after I had to live with purple and blue hands for a few days, much to Laura's Mum's amusement.
The colours in both of mine and Laura's hair looked gorgeous once done. They were bright and alternative, a look that we both absolutely loved. The dye is meant to last between 10-20 washes which is definitely true. I started to lose the bright colour of my purple two weeks after I'd dyed it. It wasn't unpleasant though as it faded to a pretty light blue colour. I must be on at least my 40th, if not 50th wash now and it's almost gone, there is a slight bluey-greeny tinge but it's hardly noticeable. Even now, it still looks very pretty.
I didn't find the stains to be damaging or drying to my hair either. There was no icky smell which you get with a lot of hair dyes and overall I found the experience to be wonderful and fantastic fun. It's been such a long time since I did something silly with my hair!
If you like the look of these then you can find out more about Chill* from their website. These dyes are fantastic for if you fancy a quick change that doesn't last forever and I really cannot recommend them enough!
Below is a slightly self-indulgent collage of my hair fading! (Yep, I completely copied off Laura)
Ooh this is so interesting, I've never seen these Chill*ed Hair Stains before, I just wish I had light hair again so I could mess around with them:(

Those stains look fantastic. I usually use hair chalk and that really dries out my hair. I'm not sure I could deal with having it for 40+ washes though - that's some commitment!
