When I first found out about reverse hair washing I was a bit like "wait? what?" and to be honest, it didn't make sense to me. So I decided to do a little bit of research and read a lot of reviews on the subject. I know a lot of bloggers have been raving about it so it seemed only right that I tried it out.
What is reverse hair washing?
Reverse hair washing is when you use conditioner first and shampoo second. It really is as simple as that. The theory behind it is that you still get all the nourishing moisturising effects that a conditioner gives us but that you aren't left with that weighted down, almost greasy look that conditioning sometimes leaves us. Reverse washing also ensures that conditioner is definitely fully washed out with the aid of the shampoo. It's meant to make your hair look thicker and healthier.
Yeah, but does it work?
I decided to give it a try, and have been trying it for the last few weeks and to be honest, I can't really see that much of a difference. If anything, conditioning my hair first has left my hair feeling dry and straw-like. I'm not sure whether this is because my hair has previously been bleached (years ago)? I also found that it doesn't stop my hair from being greasy the day after I've washed my hair, I've probably used a lot more dry shampoo during these last few weeks. It does however make my hair look fuller the day of washing though so that's a definite plus.
Yay or Nay?
this is interesting , however i think its is weird to put conditioner first and after that shampoo .. it's like wasting the conditioner

I've tried conditioner first when my hair is super tangled. But then I finish with shampoo and another coat of conditioner. But I might try this reverse hair washing trend haha!
