Makeup Revolution Lipsticks & Swatches
Just a warning to you all that this post is extremely photo heavy! I got a bit over excited! The other day I ordered a few (a few means 7) lipsticks from Makeup Revolution, all for just £1 each. Bargain, bargain, bargain alert.
First things first, I'm sure you're thinking "well, these look a lot like another budget makeup brand...what's up with that?" and you would be correct. It's hard not to draw parallels with MUA, not just in how they look but in fantastic quality. Each of the lipsticks are glossy, apply beautifully and they have that nice vanilla-y smell that sort of reminds me of MAC lipsticks but not as strong, it is the same sort of formula that MUA use in their lipsticks although I do think I prefer Makeup Revolutions formula better, it seems to me that the colours are a lot stronger. All of them are extremely moisturising on the lips and you can tell that they are of high quality. Another amazing thing about these lipsticks is that they last for such a long time once applied. I wore the nude coloured one all day yesterday without once having to reapply. I was seriously amazed!
Now to each individual lipstick:
Dusky is a stunning, shimmery pink colour that looks so pretty on my pale skin. I think that this is the perfect colour for Summer.
Reckless is a very dark, almost glittery red. It really packs a punch on the lips, great for those days when you're feeling dark and dangerous. I adore this shade, it's definitely my favourite of the bunch.
Crime is one of two lipsticks I bought from the Scandalous range. It's a very bright fuchsia colour with a purple undertone.
Bliss, another one of my favourites! It's such a gorgeous pinky nude colour. Perfect for casual days when you just need a slight pop of colour on your lips.
Vice is the second lipstick I ordered from the Scandalous range. It's a very bright orange colour that reminds me a little of MAC's Morange (only less pigmented).
Nude does what it says on the tin. It's a very pretty nude shade that I feel could be worn nicely with any skin tone. Such a pretty shade.
Divine is last but not least. This is a gorgeous nude-pink colour.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick - 630 Coral Britannia
This is one of the lipsticks I picked up when I went shopping with Laura a few weeks back. I was looking for the perfect nude colour for my awful skin tone. Everything I'd bought previously had been too light or too matte or just plain wrong. I was getting desperate and whilst in Boots in Blackpool I literally swatched every single nude lipstick they sold. Literally.
I eventually decided on the gorgeous 630 Coral Britannia. I would say that it's in between a light pink and coral shade, it's not too orange and not too bright. For me this is the perfect nude! It's quite vivid when applied and the colour lasts for a good 4 hours before you have to top it up again. The formula is fantastic as well, it reminds me a lot of MAC's Creme-sheen lippies. It's so moisturising and feels so soft and light on the lips.
I'd definitely recommend any of the lipsticks from the Moisture Renew range as they are all so gorgeous and so incredibly cheap for the quality! These lippies are bargains which are priced at £6.49 and are available from Boots, Superdrug and any good supermarket.

Fake Tanning Tips For The Deathly Pale (ie Me)
Now that Summer is almost here I've started to slap on the fake tan. I'm usually an intense shade of pale or ghostly white, so around Summer time I get a little bit...paranoid about the colour of my skin. This is purely because I have anaemia and vitamin D deficiency, a combination of bad genes and bad health, so making sure I have a bit of colour on me is a must.
So for those of you who fancy getting your tan on this Summer I've compiled a list of tips and tricks to make sure you get the most perfect shade.
1. Exfoliate like crazy - I get so, so annoyed when people don't exfoliate. It's such an obvious thing to do before putting on your tan. I don't understand why anyone would want an uneven tan - which is exactly what would happen if you didn't exfoliate the day before. If you want to be tanned for the weekend always exfoliate on the Wednesday or Thursday before (along with shaving off those pesky leg hairs). This helps get rid of the dead skin and will make your tan look smoother and more consistant. Exfoliating stops you from getting dark, dry patches as well, so this is a definite must. I personally exfoliate my whole body the day before I put on tan and once a week when I'm wearing the tan to get rid of any old, tanned skinned cells that have gone a bit gross.
2. Moisturise - After exfoliating it is a must to moisturise your body. Moisturising helps stop those pesky dark, dry patches from tanning. Also make sure that you moisturise whilst wearing the tan as well, fake tan can be super drying to your skin so moisturising keeps your skin from shedding therefore making your tan last a lot longer.
3. Leave it on for 8 hours (at least) - I know you can now get tans that promise you they will start to work after an hour but I'd still recommend putting your tan on and leaving it over night to properly latch onto your skin. This will give you a darker colour, which is great for us paleys. If you wash it off before the 8 hour mark you are likely to have a very subtle tan which might not be what you want.
4. If you are super pale consider buying a medium/dark tan - I remember when I spoke to the Vita Liberata team at last years Manchester FABB event and they recommended I used a light tan because I was so light skinned. Wrong. Light tans, for me, just do not work. They don't work at all. I don't even get a tiny bit of colour pay off. Even when I tried Cocoa Brown One Hour Tan, I had no colour pay off. If you are like me and for some reason your skin rejects these lighter formulas try investing in a medium/dark tan. I recently bought Cocoa Brown One Hour Tan in Dark and it was absolutely amazing. My skin was the most perfect shade of brown and I looked fantastic (if I say so myself).
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Gel Liner
I decided to take the plunge and buy a brown gel liner for my eyebrows. I love my eyebrows and yet I'm always trying to improve them and make them better. Recently I watched a few youtube videos where the ladies on them were using gel liner for their brows and I thought "genius". So I ran out and picked up Rimmel's Scandal Eyes Gel Liner in brown.
This liner has a creamy-gel texture and quite a thick consistency. It glides on beautifully and effortlessly with the aid of the Rimmel eyeliner brush which is included in the packet with the liner. The little brush is great for precision and makes applying the product so easy. It is fantastic as both an eye product and a brow product. I have been using this on my eyebrows since the day I bought it and it really helps to define my look because the pigmentation is absolutely incredible. Plus it just doesn't move an inch all day, it really sticks to my skin making this product smudge free. I absolutely love, love, love it!
I really recommend this liner, it is definitely the best one I have ever used! In the past I've known gel liners to dry out quickly or smudge too easily but this one is absolutely fantastic and I've had no problems at all with it.

Topshop Lip Cream In Pout
I do love a freebie so I was super duper happy to receive a free lip cream with my Topshop order a few weeks back. I was sent Pout which is a very, very bright orange shade. It's a sort of liquid lipstick/lipgloss mix that dries into a velvety cream finish. It is intensely pigmented, when I previous said that this was bright orange I really meant it. It's insane how bright this colour is and because of this it just doesn't suit me at all.
I have tried to wear it out, tried to make it less...bright, but I just can't get it to work. I did find however that the colour was extremely long-lasting and didn't budge all day, which is fantastic for what is essentially a lipgloss. It isn't sticky at all on the lips and I'm sure it would look gorgeous on someone who isn't me.
I adore Topshop's makeup range and I'm not going to let the colour of this lip cream put me off, just because it isn't the right shade for me doesn't mean I won't be able to find one that is! I love the feel of this on my lips so I will definitely be investing in some other colours. If you like this lip cream, it's only £7 either in stores or on Topshop's website.

Seventeen PHWOARR Paint - Heavy Duty Under Eye Concealer
Another one of my Seventeen purchases from the other day! Today I am reviewing the wonderful PHWOARR Paint which is a heavy duty under eye concealer designed for those (like me) with dark, tired eye circles.
This is one of those products that Bloggers just seem to love and it's one of the reasons why I picked it up in the first place. It has such a thick, creamy consistency which is perfect for any imperfections that you need covering on your face. Much like the CC cream, PHWOARR paint only comes in 2 shades; fair and medium, which may cause problems for those with a darker skin tone and to be honest, isn't really that fair on anyone that is not a shade of pale. Both of the shades are slightly orangey which I believe is because orange is supposed to be good at counteracting any dark or blue tones in your skin.
For me, this concealer is amazing. It is the God of all concealers. We should bow down to it and make a shrine. It just works so, so well! It's thick but easy to blend, it doesn't look too over the top or cakey which is something I was worried about when I first purchased it. It feels so light on the face yet it covers everything. EVERYTHING. I use it everywhere regardless of it being an under eye concealer. I have not been this passionate about a product in such a long time, I just think it's something that everyone needs to own.
For only £5.99 this is (in my opinion) the best concealer on the market for those looking for a budget buy. I urge you to go out and buy this, it's one of my must-have beauty products now and I know I will keep repurchasing this for years to come.
