Vita Liberata - Moment By Moment - Fake Tan Review

Whilst at the FABB blogger event, I received a goodie bag from the lovely people at Vita Liberata which contained this fake tan in shade "light" and a tanning mitt. I, being super pale (whiter than white, Casper the friendly ghost) was super excited about getting this home and trying it out!

This tan is called Moment By Moment which is a fake tan that starts to develop after 30 minutes and keeps developing for 3 hours. It uses innovative, rapid technology which allows you to pretty much chose the shade you want to be, when it's got as dark as you want it, you just wash it off. The tanner promises: non-toxic and organic,  no streaking and no smell, 100% free from parabens, perfume and alcohol, easy application, a unique moisture-lock complex and 80% organic extracts that are kind to skin and produce a natural fade (eventually!).

My first thoughts were that I really liked how this product is packaged. I found that the outer boxing was lovely to look at, showing a girl in a bikini boasting a gorgeous tan. All of the instructions were clearly stated on the box and the whole product looks really professional. The bottle is cute too, a nice golden brown colour with a push down dispenser on the top. Looks wise, it's definitely a product I like to show off in my room as it just looks so expensive and professional.

Sorry the above photo is a bit blurry - stupid camera. Once dispensed the product comes out as a dark browny, red mousse. It's quite thin and very, very messy. It literally gets everywhere. My bed sheets are no longer white, and this is only from the application stage! It is however very easy to apply especially for a fake tan novice like myself, and I found that large circling motions stopped the tan from looking dirty in places.

I did this stage twice. The first time, I left the tan on for an hour, as the base colour is extremely dark I was worried leaving it on for much longer would make me orange. But alas, once I came out of the shower I realised it had made absolutely no difference to the colour of my skin. No tan lines or anything. To be honest, I was a bit gutted, but decided to try again the next day just incase I had done something wrong.

The second time I did it, I left the tanner on for the whole three hours and let me tell you, it was a sticky uncomfortable 3 hours. And I was excited to see the results by the end of it. I jumped into the shower and came out...still very, very pale. Not quite Casper the friendly ghost white, but not far off. Under the light I have a slight glow but nothing obvious, and nothing that looks even remotely like a tan. I was and still am gutted.

I really wanted to like this tan, I mean really, really wanted to like it. I'm starting to wonder if I'm actually as pale as I think I am. Maybe I need to re-buy in medium?

On one hand this tan was great, it had no horrible smell and it was easy to apply, but the colour just wasn't right for me which is annoying after 3 hours of waiting around for it to develop. When you buy fake tan, you expect it to at least give you some sort of tan, even if it's just a slight colour, but I feel I haven't got this from this tanner.

Have you tried any Vita Liberata products before? What did you think? Do you think I need to re-invest in this tan but in medium?

I'm Home!! [Holiday Post & Photos]

I'm home!! I arrived home yesterday afternoon from Majorca and god damn it, we arrived to torrential rain! I can't believe a week passed so quickly, I had such an amazing time. The hotel and location where absolutely gorgeous, all inclusive was top notch and the weather was 42+ degrees - needless to say, I sweat a lot. It was really an amazing week that I got to spend with my lovely boyfriend and family, I wish I could rewind time and do it all over again.

Here are a few shots from the week:

I'm Off On My Holidays! See You In A Week!

YAY it's finally time! In exactly 12 hours from now I will be setting off to the airport with 7 other people (Mum, Dad, Brother, Sister, Brother's gf, Sister's bf and Kieron!), it's going to be insane and I feel like I've been counting down to this day for years! I'm so excited, and we are all rushing around like headless chickens getting packed and ready. Yesterday I had to take the torts to their holiday home and god, it was hard to part with them. I genuinely had a little cry!

So anyways, I won't be blogging for the next week or so, I'll probably post some holiday photos when I get back!

Hope you all have a good week x

OOTD For Boyfriend's Graduation Meal

Today is Kieron's graduation from Lancaster Uni. Unfortunately and by no fault of my own, I couldn't go to his actual graduation. In about an hour I am being picked up by his parents and we are going to go for a meal instead to celebrate! To be honest, I've been feeling pretty down today so I spent ages getting ready, and doing my eyebrows and then I put on the summer dress my Nana bought me a month before she died, and I started to feel a bit better. I'm just ready now to be picked up and for food! So hungry!

I got the dress from the Lowry Centre last year but I'm not sure what shop, although I'm pretty sure the shop isn't there anymore. And the shoes are wedges from New Look which only cost £12! I got the heels for my holidays but I thought screw it, I want to wear them. All photos are taken on my phone because I cannot for the life of me OOTD on my canon, the photos always end up looking ridiculous. Anyways, here's my outfit!

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?

THREE DAYS TO GO!!!!

Today's post is just a quick one to show what's in my travel makeup bag. I'm taking all of these items with me when I go to Majorca in three days (THREE DAYS!!), I got the bag from Primark for £4 too. Primark have a great selection of travel bags at the moment, there were some gorgeous ones when I went and I was absolutely spoilt for choice. It literally took me like 10 minutes to decide and in the end it came between this one and one with loads of different pockets. I chose this one because I love the coral pink colour, I think it's SO cute. It's also secretly massive inside so I can fit as much as I possibly need in! This will be going in my suitcase not my hand luggage which is why there is sooo much stuff.

So let's have a look and see what we've got in here:

Piz Buin Allergy Sun Cream, Factor 15 - I've recently had to deal with a bad case of prickly heat, combined with an allergy to a skin product that I was using. It was awful and I'm still not sure I'm completely over it, so I've bought this for a little bit of help and extra skin protection. This is formulated especailly for anyone who is particularly prone to heat rash.

Lipsticks - All together I have 5 here, is that too excessive? I have a red MUA one, bright pink from Vivo, purple from Sleek, coral from Rimmel and Apocaliptic from Rimmel's Apocalips.

Coco Vaseline

Mascaras - Chanel Le Volume De Chanel mascara and my favourite Bourjois Clubbing Mascara

Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Liquid Eyeliner

Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder - I'm hoping I won't need this too much, but it's always good to have on hand just in case.

Benadryl Relief Tablets - To keep any of my ridiculous allergies at bay whilst I'm on my holidays!

Halo Make-Up Wipes

MUA BB Cream in Light - I bought this a few days ago, not realising it has no SPF in it. Annoying when BB creams are meant to be an all in one thing, but nevermind I'll take it anyway.

MUA Pro Base Complexion Kit - I also bought this a few days ago because I needed a highlighter and I couldn't find one ANYWHERE in Superdrug, I couldn't believe it. So eventually settled for this.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Nude

Collection 2000 Eyebrown Pencil in Blonde

Concealer - Rimmel concealer and Collection 2000 liquid concealer, I put in both because I can't decide which one is better.

Nars Firming Face Foundation - I can't wait to use this on nights out in Majorca, sometimes a girl needs a full face of makeup!

Garnier Summer Body - I'm taking this so I can top up my tan at night, plus it's so moisturising which will feel great after a day in the sun.

Kiss Eyelashes in Wink

Makeup Tools - Blusher Brush from Topshop, Foundation & Concealer Brush from Primark and Ebay Beauty Blender Dupe.

My New Oversized Round Vintage Sunglasses

A day or so ago I posted about Oversized Round Sunglasses and how everyone is suddenly wearing them - and that everyone seems to look great in them (read here), WELL my pair arrived this morning! And I love them! Apart of me feels like Paris Hilton or Mary-Kate & Ashley, I feel stylish and cool and on trend, but the other half of me feels like Johnny Depp from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie. Either way, I feel I'm working it (hahaha)

I got these from Ebay (click here) for £8.49 including postage and packaging. You can get them in 4 different prints. Leopard, matte, brown and black - I went for the matte, but I probably will invest in the leopard print ones when I have some spare money, we all know how much I love leopard print!

I don't know whether I actually suit them, I've had mixed reviews because I have such a small round face. My Mother thinks I look ridiculous but a lot of people have said they look really nice on me, but either way I'm still going to wear them as I love them so much!

I think these glasses are great for holidays and all this hot weather we've been having recently here in England.

Unleash your inner Paris Hilton/Johnny Depp!!

Trend Alert: Oversized Round Sunglasses

I've seen a lot of people/bloggers wearing these sunglasses over the last few weeks and I've loved every single photo I've seen on them. I think they're so stylish and so...Mary-Kate & Ashley. I love a good pair of oversized sunglasses as much as the next girl but ROUND? Well needless to say, I've just invested in some on Ebay and hopefully they will arrive before I go on holiday on Sunday! Hopefully I suit them!

How do you feel about oversized round sunglasses? Yay or Nay?!

New Look Jelly Sandals (Juju Dupes)

Yesterday I invested in these lovely jelly sandals from New Look for £9.99 - I absolutely LOVE them! When I was a kiddie back in the 90's I used to have a pair of these in blue that I wore to school, but unfortunately one day it was SO hot that they melted a little so since then I've not had a pair! But now they are back in fashion I thought I'd get involved with the trend and get some myself. I'm currently saving up for a proper pair of JuJu's but these are a great dupe for those who can't afford the full JuJu price tag!

What do you think? Do you like jelly sandals?
